I Am My Beloved’s

In the Song of Songs we find a vivid picture that I think we need to be reminded of today. Allegorically we find the bridegroom and the bride rejoice and delight in each other and call each other Beloved 33 times in the Song of Songs.

As the time draws near to meet our Bridegroom face-to-face and see Him eye-to-eye, understanding the true expression of what our Beloved means to us becomes more of a longing in our hearts and spirit.

It is always good to take a few minutes to remind ourselves that our Beloved Bridegroom rejoices over us and we in Him. The hope and promises of His Word are true.

I know the busyness of our days, but perhaps you can take a few minutes to read the Song of Songs. As you read, it can help us to know His heart, even with all of the difficult things going on in our lives and world. If you don’t have your Bible close, nor time to read the book right now, I want to give you these beautifully expressed verses to encourage you that He is ours and we are His.

So, Beloved, “Be-Loved” today.

Come, my Beloved, let us go out into the field; let us stay in the villages. Let us rise up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flowers, whether the tender grape appears, and the pomegranates bud forth; there I will give You my loves.

Song of Solomon 7:11-12

My Beloved is to me like a cluster of henna in the vineyards of  En-Gedi.

Song of Songs 1:14

My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feeds among the lilies.

Song of Songs 2:16

I am my Beloved’s, and my Beloved is mine; He feeds among the lilies.

Song of Songs 6:3

I am my Beloved’s, and His desire is toward me.

Song of Songs 7:10

The expression of what the Lord desires for His Beloved is found in III John 2. Beloved, I wish (pray) above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers. To better define this verse we find that To prosper is to reach the goals in your life’s journey,  to be in good health is to be well and without disease and  as our soul prospers is that we may experience the breath of God that is with us in our journey in life.
